The boat is in the build at the moment and I want to have the capability to run the European AC system from an American shore power. Anyone know what is needed to do this?

That depends on what equipment you are running. Look at the specifications. Many things will operate on either one. One of the main problems is when the equipment uses the frequency to run their clock. Also, the outlets are different so you will need adapters.

Hey Gonzo, thanks for your reply.

What I am trying to do is rid myself of the adapters on the back end and have some sort of frequency converter on the front end which will convert shore power to "my" power set up . The generator is the fallback but I would like to have the capacity to not need it when alongside.
