"newbie" Can you purchase 45' pontoons?

    Hdpe Pipe For Pontoons

    Does anyone know the price for large HDPE pipe about 42" in diameter and 40 ' long

    I know where some used fiberglass pipe is . Its 42 inch diam. And 1" thick wall ..... its $35 a foot... snd 60 ft long. Located in port st. Joe florida

    look up u-fab boats.
    They sell just the pontoons, and the aluminum cross beams if you want.
    Last I heard, 40 ft pontoons with cross beams were around 15k$.

    While experts and boat builder might not like pontoons for various reasons, for a beginner boat builder or someone who just wants to build a houseboat, I don't see how you can go wrong.
    The tubes are welded sealed shut every 5 ft, everything is proven and designed right. Also they are certified. Just tell them what you want to build, and they will sell you the pontoon kit you need.

    Everyone has a different idea of what they want out of a boat. If you just want to get on the water, it's hard to beat a pontoon kit where you just build the cabin, bolt on an outboard, and avoid hull design etc.
