I have written a new update for my VPP UliSail_3.8. It calculates the equilibrium for all 6 degrees of freedom (DOF). The negative impact on speed of a badly balanced boat is clearly visible. You can also investigate now the impact of mast rake and of different rudder arrangements, like single rudder, twin rudders and twin rudders with the windward rudder lifted out of the water. A transom hung rudder is also possible. The software is not only a velocity prediction program (VPP) but also an optimizer for the sail trim. The optimal trim will be different for different geometries of sails or hull.
You can download the software from my website: Velocity Prediction Program (VPP) UliSpeed for 6 DOF https://www.remmlinger.com/UliSpeed.html
Have fun
Uli

Short remark: In contrast to some software that is advertised in this forum, my software, like Dolfiman's, is a gift to the sailing community. You can download it free of charge.
Have fun!

... And I think that if I weren't charging for it, why would I assume any responsibility?...
And what responsibility is that?

And you ask me that?...
Yes ..that is what a question is....what responsibility are - you - referring to?
But it seems you prefer to avoid and not answer...

So ...you make a statement, as a reply.
Then upon being questioned about YOUR reply, you decide to not give an answer, but elect to not reply.

So it begs the question...why on earth do you reply to posts if you do not wish to clarify your reply.

So ..you want people to pay money to use your software, and when they have a question about it you reply with .... utter nonsense and fail to address their question.
Got it.
Great advertising.... let's think about that!!

Could we maybe leave the personality clashes at home? You have despoiled the thread of a kind and generous person by sounding like a bunch of fish wives, and that impression of industry professionals will remain here as long as this website is active.
