i have had to foam fill under the wheelhouse floor so that i can get the boat CE marked when it all finished.

it took 30ltrs of closed cell 2 part foam to fill under the floor.

i cut out 12 holes in the deck to make sure i had enough points to fill the foam through.

pieces that were cut out where glassed back in when finished.

deck has now been non slipped as well.

outboard pod is now all glassed around top edge and flowcoated over.

top has been wet flatted and polished up and hatches have been fitted.

when i flowcoated the top edge the gel started to go off before i finished so part of it needs to be redone but i will sand it all down and do it again as there are couple bits im not happy with.

also started making the wheelhouse door.

    been busy last few weeks.

all the windows are now cut out in the wheelhouse.

door is fitted along with suspension seat.

a few parts have started to arrive ready for the wiring to start.

not looking forward to that as i hate wiring.

not done much lately but parts are starting to arrive for the boat.

all the windows have been ordered.

7 of which i picked up today.

the 2 alloy sliding windows are at the anodizers being anodized and the main font glass window should be done by the end of the week.

last week i bought a second hand beat up old bowsprit off ebay for a bargain £20.

it was too long for my boat so i cut it about a bit and reshaped it a little.

it now fits the bow of my boat so i have filled and sanded it and gave it 3 coats of gelcoat and have started sanding it down ready to polish it and make a mould.

    before shortening

    shortened and reshaped ends

i put in a small 6mm mdf pad for where the bollard is mounted

i then wrapped the bowsprit with 3mm foamex so that i could extend the bottom all round to allow me to shape it to suit my boat

    trimmed up to fit

after that i filled and sanded it flat ready for gelcoating

    3 coats of gel

started sanding it smooth ready for polishing

still got 2 more windows to fit as i ran out of sikaflex to bond them in with.

the bow rails will be made on the 18th and 19th and the radar arch/roof rails will also be modified.

engines are being delivered on wednesday this week.

still got a long way to go yet.

im on the look out for a reasonably priced hydraulic steering system if anyone knows of anywhere to buy from thats reasonably priced.

all the windows are now fitted.

the recessed windows just need to be sealed around the edges.

Very Nice!! I'v had both, the new 4 strokes are super reliable, get way better gas mileage and about as light as the 2 strokes!!
