    Hello guys

I am new to the forum and boat design, although I love the sea and own two boats.

I want to design a RIB for my university dissertation but unfortunately I haven't got a clue on boat design. I have basic principles of Solidworks.

Any information from the experts would be appreciated.

    Thanks!!

I don't believe even Solidworks does "inflatable" or fabric.

It can sorta do an actual 'chain' but it struggles.

So you will be stuck only with the "solids".

I've never found any good info on how to design inflatables, like how much you must 'back out' dimensions and what everything is going to do when you start inflating for real.
