    Thanks for the suggestions.

    John Letcher has promoted his "relational geometry" system as better at dealing with surface intersections. I'm curious to see what Ventura and Guedes discuss.

    Thanks... looks promising. It would appear that the new VPP is also allowing for leeway as an independent variable, although the document is not very clear about it (or anything else ;-). Anyway, leeway needs to be recalculated during every iteration loop for good results. The effective lenght calculation will certainly be better than the old one.
