    I thought I'd take a quick look and ended up reading the entire article. Even though I don't make a living on a boat I do tend to go out alone quite often even if I don't go very far.

    This story makes you think.....thank you for posting it Corley.

    And an article on Gcaptain that I believe raises some valid points. I have to agree that many fisherman do not seem to be well educated in or choose to ignore boat safety. When you head offshore in a yacht it's drummed into us or use tethers, lifejackets and carry a PLB it seems to be something that is not taken up by the people who are often most at risk.
