I am looking at getting a Architect to design a new "fast fishing boat" to put into production. I want the hull to be very stable at anchor but also to be able to achieve speeds of 35knt with no more than a 90hp outboard. The boat wants to be 18' - 20' in length. Any ideas?

I propose to you an ASD (Arrow System Design) application for fast fishing boat.

More details about ASD hull system in the web:

This is only a rough sketch that can be adapted to specific operational requirements and dimensions.

    Fast sport fisher

Have a look at our Uniquest 600, I've not tried it with a 90hp but it does 42knots with a 150hp IB diesel and probably a bit more with a 150hp OB

Very stable at rest, it has a 2m60 beam, feels like you are on a 7m boat, especially with the flaired bows.
I'm evidently biased though as I designed it

It is made out of a fiberglass/spherecore SBC sandwich, 10mm spherecore for the bottom and spherecore 6mm for the sides and flat areas of the deck.
The hull and deck are held together by vertical 40mm foam cored longetudinal stringers.
The two outer logitudinal compartements and the bows are foam PU filled.
