    Hello. New here.

I am looking for a new up and coming designer that may have something in the 23 / 25 foot sport boat style sailboat. Not overly complicated. That can be built of fibreglass and designed in such a way that it could also go into production if that were to arise. I have built in the past. But see nothing I like or that shakes me.
    Perhaps a modern day Shark.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks
    F37racer.

Just curious. The market is already saturated with 20-25 ft sportboats. Why try and do another?

I have had a life changing event and its something I wish to do...I want something easy and un costly to build. Something others could also take part of. I do already have moulds for the Dehler sprinta sport 23. But I believe a keel and rudder change would be to costly and not sure if there would be much sense doing that...i have built a few in the past and it is not a cheap boat to build. maybe it will just be a one off..maybe more...have you ever had a dream.
As I said maybe a modern day shark...my over head is as low as one can get....so I am going to try and follow my dream. It's all I can do...

What would you suggest as far as a design goes.....

That is why I am looking for someone new. Someone willing to take a chance and through an idea on a design out there...

Actually I really like the TNR-26. It suits me..and could fill a lot of voids. Will need to pursue this further.

I don't know, you'll have to ask Geoff. I have known Geoff for over 20 years. He's Australian but lives in Newport, RI, (where I used to live), a US citizen, and he specializes in small race boats. He has had production boats built in South Africa and Korea. He's very good in sport boat designs, and his design details are very complete, plus he gives very good back-up telephone and email service.

Thanks Eric. I am putting together a list of questions now for Geoff. I hope he offers the 26 in the same format as the 23. I think it would suit me. I appreciate your help.

Well I have sent Geoff off an email....hopefully I hear back...I still have many questions. And I am open to all ideas on design as well.

If you're looking for something more conservative like the TNR-26 take a look at this.

If you hunt around on SA you can thread swhere the builder takes you through the process.
Always loved the construction detail of the Dehler boats like the Sprinta Sport

I have looked at the dart. Way too costly. I like it though. And have been trying to get in touch with Leif beiley. But I like that van Gorkom design as well.
I love the sprinta. But way to costly to build.
