Very unusual story in Town Dock today about a long distance purchase of a sailboat. Fiddler's Green was owned by close friends and sailed mostly along the east coast, NC and Chesapeake waters. The boat was bought sight unseen and outfitted locally for the long journey home. They are currently about halfway across the Atlantic to the Azores where they will turn south toward their final destination in the Falkland Islands.

Its a fine boat so we don't anticipate any serious problems but the far South Atlantic will probably have its way.

Tom, that is indeed a hell of a gamble, which seems to have worked out. Lovely story to read. Bert
