    Hello guys,

I allready got some great advise on the repair/refinish on some aluminum window frames.
The aluminum is corroded, under some of the paint system, this is a patch repair on the boat. I would like to mechanically clean with a scottbrite disc and treat with alumaprep 33, since it is a repair there is still paint and epoxy filler that will remain on the window frame.

My concern is that the aluma prep will damage or cause an adhesion problem with the new repair epoxy primer to the adjacent epoxy filler or paint that will remain around the repaired area.

Is this a problem or can I just tape off the area and procede as planned

    Thank you

It is OK. Just rinse it off.
