I am using Alma act/cut for years. It imports dxf, step, iges etc. Fully autonesting, preparing nc code and reports. Direct link to Catia, SolidEdge, Siemens NX.

    Hello all,

Don't know about free software but I can comment on what we use.

For years we used Sigma but now we use Lantek.
Lantek is very good and a lot cheaper than Sigma for us.
Lantek has add - on packages for the professional so it keeps the cost down for the specialised or home user. You only pay for what you need.

    Paul.

I realize the draw of using a free nesting software (it's free! we all want something for free) but what you don't pay for in $$ is exactly what ends up costing you in quality. I've tried the mynesting software, but it's quality pales in comparison to that of SigmaNEST V9. Sure you might spend a little bit more, but what you get back out of it is totally worth it. Try a free demo at: http://www.sigmanest.com/en-us/Company/Contact/profileform.aspx and then see how you feel about any of those other Free Nesting softwares out there.
