Can anyone recommend a place where I can get plans for a "23' Contender" type hull design that I might alter for an aluminum boat? In fact any locations for Aluminum hulls would be helpful.
    Thanks!

... and I am a designer with experience in aluminum designs; I have a 22-ft hull design that might be suitable for your needs.

    Hi cloudsnowing,
I have a tread posted on twin rudder vs twin keel. I have been told that retrofitting a steel boat (36ft-47ft) to twin rudder is far easier than a fiberglass one, would an aluminum one fall in the same category as steel?

    Thank you

    You could try

    Computer Design Marine. CDM

    http://www.curran.com.au

They supply both plans (also by electronic files delivery) or indeed the whole nested CNC plasma cut vessel construction package if you require.

I've built one, simple & great to deal with before during and after.

When I put mine thru commercial survey they were very helpfull even 12 months later - supplying all the ullage calcs for foam bouyancy etc etc GZ stability curves and so on to satisfy the survey authorities - thoroughly professional co, to deal with...

Some companys don't want to know you after the fact once they have sold you a boat - not so CDM they go above and beyond the call of duty IMHO.

    Cheers!
