I'll play the role of Debbie downer for just a bit as a few years ago I went up and down the west coast trying to find a glass company to build a hull that would work for a project in mind. There were even existing molds that were "close enough" to work off. It was fairly hard to get anyone interested.

West coast fiberglass has consolidated a lot in the last 30 years and alloy is what most mess with. Those that still do glass projects in the 50 foot range have a fair deal of established product and a solid reason to not waver from it. You're in a setting like me where an inland fiberglass fabricator would probably be best but shipping would negate any savings. For whatever reason the mad scientist of the west coast build in alloy.

I'd hazard the best bet would to be to call fiber lay or composite one sales guys in the west coast and ask who does the craziest stuff still and go from there.

I wrote to them, but they said they could not provide a budgetary estimate.

Thanks, I will check them out soon. I am pausing here for a week while I prep a boat for the summer.
