I have a fiberform boat. And there is a partition between main hull and motor compartment where drain plug is. How can water get out of boat this way? The rain has put about 10 inches of water in main part of boat but plug is removed -- no water in engine compartment -- it drains out correctly. What am i missing?

There is probably another plug in the main compartment, either in the firewall to the engine compartment or a seacock valve in the bottom somewhere. If you don't see an obvious port in either of those above, you'll need to pump the water out to find it, does it have a working bilge pump?
