Thanks, Have you any study material regrading this? I want detailed info about Wigley Hull.The Wigley hull was used to study the effect of hull shape on wave making. The original "Wigley" hull was just a square cornered wedge leading (on one model this was 5.81 ft long), a PMB section (4.38 ft long by 1.5 ft beam), and a similar wedge trailing (total 16 ft L x 1.5 ft D and IIRC half the depth of the tank) so as to generate distinct breast and quarter waves. The second "Wigley" hull mentioned in the formula was used to ease the generation of dipole bodies by Wigley and Havelock. Remember this was in the 1930's to 1950's so all the "calculated" profiles were done by hand.
