Naval architects and designers are a waste of money!

Not all has been lost. It is hard to censorship the internet.
The case which has inspired this thread (taken from my post #54 and from http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=381541&page=1):









The last pic shows the thing in the process of adding additional floats, which should promote it from submarine to ship. Please note the working conditions...

Though I can partially understand the anger of the boat designer/owner, I believe that this incident should not be hidden from the world. It should be shown in every school of boat design and naval architecture, imho.

So, in case the ship designer/owner threatens Jeff like he probably did to the other forum moderators, I invite him to report it back here so I will post them on some finnish, chinese, east-european or whatever other out-of-the-reach server. If they play dirty, we can play dirty as well. These are public or publicly available pictures anyways, so no censorship can be exerted upon them. People have to learn from cases like this.

The boat's website has been updated since last visit (not too long ago). Got a lot less content on the new site, and the exterior of the boat looks even more horendous.

I don't know how accurate that image is, could be a CGI.

Would be nice if someone living in the area could go paparazzi on the boat.

I followed the link of the screen shot: The website says, the boat is certified by transport Canada.
The website also shows telephone numbers.
Does anyone have the guts to make a call?

It is unbelievable that any sane person could design , or commission such a monstrosity
I mean the mags are full of handsome proven designs
And what do we have here, a half floating chicken shed, a , oh heck words fail me

 

What really disturbs me is that the advertise says it could carry 40 souls into the blue...

Definitely should not. Should comply with passenger boat requirements, and from first glance I don't see the liferafts properly set for that.

At least you can see liferafts (though not properly set), because I can't.

 

Liferafts are on aft of flybridge, as we can see from launching photos - this will not work for passenger boat. Moreover, if they free fall down they will drop on stern platform?
