Ive never used a N.A. before. I understand that prices vary, is it standerd to charge by the hr. or by the job?

    varies.
For this, I would charge by the hour. Rates will vary as well, but as with most goods and services, you will get what you pay for. I believe Eric Sponberg is closer to you than I am. I've read of few of his pubs., seems generally competent and well qualified.

Thank you for the recommendation, Water Addict. Indeed, I can probably help you, Jetblue. You can see an example of my work of a keel modification on my website at http://www.sponbergyachtdesign.com/Magic.htm. I usually charge by the job, and can discuss details with you if you would like to give me a call.

    Regards,

    Eric

"seems generally competent and well qualified ", who? Eric? are you kidding. Talk about understatement.

I am doing just fine, thank you, fellas. JetBlue contacted me by phone and we discussed the keel change he wants. We'll take it a step at a time from here.
