I don't disagree with you. Your points are right on spot. My only defense is that the boat did not come with any documentation and I was not familiar with pleasure boats. I was only looking for an LRC with a decent engine, to go out to the Big Blue. I knew I had to fix everything on the boat before any long range trip, but I was not prepared for hull modifications. After 5 years of ownership, I finally understand what happened to this boat. All thanks of the participation from all of you here. So, I am grateful. I am not happy about this historical discovery, but it was my choice to buy this boat. There is nobody to blame here, except me. Either way, it is not easy to let go a decades old dream.

As of the Youth, at age 70+ I cannot really talk about being young. This boat is a retirement dream. Youth is gone, the money we will see. No matter what happens, it will not be easy. Even if I sell the boat at one point.

    Good summation.
Sell the boat and buy exactly what you want, no compromises.
Best of luck, keep us posted.
