Bill Garden's Passing

    Am I the last to learn Bill Garden passed away in 2011?

    Seems like only yesterday somebody was on this forum trying to contact him.

    I hope you reached him.

    He was a great guy and a wonderful designer.

    He lived well into his 90's.

    Fair winds old timer.

    He had a great portfolio of designs, all of them beautiful.

    I met him once and spoke to him on the phone a few times.

    Just a nice, friendly guy. Open minded, pleasant.

    I skippered a Walloon (SP?), one of his designs, for years.

    Beautiful boat and a pleasure to sail. A schooner.
