i was speaking with someone who suggested an alternative to my blown CD box, he suggested that i use an MSD 6 box from a car, and have 2 high vibration coils, where 1 coil goes to the distributor and the other goes to ground to cut the voltage in half

any insights to this? he said it was much more reliable cause it will fire from 5volts to 18 volts
its going in a 69 hydro electric johnson 115hp

the MSD box is 420 volts and the stock is 300volts

the coils are 25K stock and the MSD is 35k
