Harlem works my friend. Riverman too. Or Yank'd'doodle''do if you like. Come to think of it I'll answer to most anything with a glass of fine lowland whiskey in one hand and gourmet highland potato's in another, formerly French fries of course but I made a sworn commitment to clean up my language around the children and no longer use the F word.

Mr. Bagalia, you have a loving wife indeed and I tip my hat in honor and respect. They change us when we’re young and old, and in exchange we take their scold.

Nice turn of phrase my friend - and I tip 'ma bonnet tae ye, too' - but my glass of whisky has no 'e'.... (old hobby horse, Harlem. It's an old hobby horse...)

No apologies needed – we are whisky challenged on this side of the puddle. My theory is that a 19th century oil baron by the name of Jack Daniels, an Englishmen nonetheless, was elected by a secret society of fine whisky merchants far and wide to sneak that e into our spelling. Hence “the mark” properly signals a good merchant to place the order properly, not wasting good whisky on a Yank that drinks whiskey. My evidence -- Mr. Daniel’s varied brews of aged gasoline.
