can any 1 pls tell me... what formulae has to be used for finding main dimension of fishing trawler??

 

There is no single formula to give you the main dimension. This depends on many factors of the Statement of Requirements:
Where the boat is fishing and the sea conditions there
What type of fishing and what the typical catch is
What the client's budget is
What the client needs

What is the list of requirements must meet your boat, what is your's or the owner's LOR?. Without that, it is not possible to speak of dimensions or talk about anything.

 

They can be small ones of maybe 5 m length to 45 m length. The rest of it gets designed depending on the species it harvests and the area it fishes.

Yes, sir I am a B.E Naval Architecture & Offshore engineering student
currently doing project for a design office.... could you please help me out

 

Dear friend, there would be no objection to help you but if our help is going to be for the benefit of a technical project office, the aid should be reconsidered.

 

I could be wrong, but I think that TANSL is suggesting is that if you are doing this for a customer and you need the services of a consultant is is customary to pay them.
I am wondering is this is a class assignment and if that is the case will you be cheating if you seek outside professional help?

 

Westfield11, I think in both cases, karthikna313 may not be working properly. However, if it is an exercise for his teachers, still not liking the intention of karthikna313, I could get to help. In the event that, as he says, it is a work that makes for a design office, if no further explanations, I refuse to help.

To start with, is it a stern or side trawler?

 

The main dimension is fore and aft. beam is secondary, draft is tertiary.
The metric system system works particularly well.
It sounds like you, 313, are trying to use this forum for personal gain by avoiding paying for or doing the work yourself.
If you are a student why would you ask such an undefined question.
Same goes for a professional position.

 

Why can't he ask questions on a message board to help with a profitable build for a customer? He has to start his research somewhere. If you don't want to give any secrets to him, don't waste your time responding.
