Moth plans

The rules restrict Moths to an overall length of 3355mm and a maximum beam of 2235mm.Of course,when foiling this means about 1.9metres waterline length and about 20mm waterline beam.The CG will be between the foils but since the lift will vary according to the flap position on the main foil,the centre of lift will constantly be moving.The Australian association has a very good website and hosts a discussion forum you may find helpful.the rules are at: http://www.moth.asn.au/class_info.html

Didn't mean to be too harsh on you, but if you re-read your posts so far I don't think my assumption was unwarranted.
However, the rules for Moths allow a wide range of hull shape and construction (within limits)... you seem to be asking for the "exact" CG? You will only find that from balancing a finished boat or...in the first instance calculate it from construction/plans/material weights.
The CG will therefore be different for every new shape. There is no basic CG that could apply to something you are designing...or are you just after a set of plans?

 

Come on Panos, there is something you're not telling us.
From the one hand you're after the exact location of CG, on the other you propose to come up with a designing model for a Moth.
If you are designing something new there is a resulting CG from the design. If you're analyzing something in existence then you can calculate it.

When I first posted this topic, I was asking for some Moth plans.

I thought that someone who had constructed a Moth, could probably help me, by giving me the plans, so I could focus on the hydrofoil design and development.

As nobody had some plans to give me, at the same time I started designing a moth on my own.

Now I have completed the 90% of the design and I have no other option than to calculate the CG and all the other parametres of my Moth.

I would like to repeat that I know how to calculate the CG, and the only reason I was asking some ready plans, is because I wanted to save time and work on a boat that has been already constructed and tested.

When I finish the hull design of my Moth, I will focus on the construction of the hull.After installing the sail and any other equipment, the next stage is the hydrofoil design and a hydrofoil adjustment system design.

I will be very glad if you help me with this project.
