Moth on Foils!

Foiling Moth Scow. Note the single wand and dual daggerboards. I wonder if the guy is using a single foil between the two daggerboards or a shorter t-foil on each daggerboard with the wand moving an axle between them or?

Thanks, Doug. They use the wand to control two separate foils but with the facility to "turn one off"-pretty cool.

I was researching a question on foil drag so reread Bill Beaver's excellent paper (see below) on the Moth. I found something directly related to the discussion here earlier(see red above):

Although not intuitive, from a sailing perspective flap up
(shedding lift) is more important than flap down (adding
lift) because of the dire nature of the crash that comes from
the inability to shed lift adequately.
