13ft flats build

Found it very hard to find plans for a nice shaped flats boat.
Ended up using a rotten hull as a "mold" to screw ply on.
As this isnt the norm a few people said it wasn't the best idea.
However it is coming along really well.
I'm hoping to either fit a 18hp or 25hp and would like to achieve a speed of 20kn.
Won't be used in rough waters

 

3 bulkhead/ frames will support a front and rear casting deck.
And a flat floor will sit in between the two sitting on the longitudinal stringers and chines

 

Love the shape of the hull, but would have been alot easier doing it in stripes rather than stich and glue

 

Is that the photo or is the chine flat on the starboard side uneven?

 

Fairness doesn't seem a big goal at this point of the build, from my view. That hull also doesn't appear to be much of a "flats" type of shape. It also appears to be a quite thick hull with the grain orientation on the plywood not in desirable directions in many places. Those huge flats forward should pound pretty good at certain speeds and in some conditions.

 

Am I missing something or is that a grp hull behind the ply.
