The Mokai Jet Kayak has unused ports in the jet drive.

Could the return port be used as a Bilge Pump?

Seems to me that it would be difficult to suck up water at 1 bar with a "vacuum" operating at the exit pressure of the jet unit at 106lbs!

The Mercury Sportjet has a Venturi bilge pump in the tail pipe in the pressure zone. Works reasonably well. No reason it wouldn't work for this pump as well

Any Pictures of the unit? I have seen similar tubing on other jet ski type applications!
I talked with Mokai and the port as designed is used to provide a Return from the built in supply!
With 1/8" tubing it will circulate water without a added pump from the supply to the return!
Their testing showed that the return port never dropped below atmospheric pressure!
Would that not make it difficult to Suck Bilge Water???
    Thank you for the response!:!:

    Waste of money!

This port was meant to be a return line from the other supply line!

Using this as a suction port is possible but not worth the effort!

They return water back to the pump rather than to waste through the exhaust?

You could always add a venturi into the tail housing for your purpose

    Pump Not! This doesn't Suck!

True, in this design it can work without a pump for cooling!
Others are trying the return as a suction port without much success.
Not worth the effort to add a venturi and with the limited HP driving the jet with a "lawn Mower" engine. Would cost more in speed than it is worth!
Why I use a Spray Skirt in heavy weather!
    Thanks!!!
