what prop size do i need?

    hello everyone,
    can any one tell me what prop size i should have?
    my brother has a 26ft searay 1.5 ton, 19ft on water line powered by a 315hp yanmar with a direct drive zf marine box
    it has a fixed surface drive "lancing marine" he has tried 19x23 hamble prop but cant get on the plane. :confused:

    no , wont rev out just a lot of black smoke.

    definetly overpropped. Your current prop is way too big. Should be something closer to 15X18.
