In connection with my previous question "catamaran float", I'd like to know what type of software can be used to model my project.

If I find a model or plans to make a model, I imagine I can then send all the information to a machine. Whether it's for 3D printing or for cutting out polystyrene.

As I mentioned, I'm a beginner. I'm just discovering the business.

    Thank You.

Hi Nicolas, you can use almost any 3D modelling software. There are some marine modelling softwares which also do marine specific calculations but if calculations are needed this can also happen in most other 3D software. There is free and cheap software but also costly programms. I'm most familiar with Rhino 3D if you are a student you get it for a nice price.
