How many basic bow types are there?

    A: Plane - bow & hull

    B: Pierce - displace

    C: Flatten - blunt like a barge

D: Bulbous - circular in the vertical and horizontal (hard tube)

E: Foil - yes it's bow type when at speed, right?

F: Compliant - includes soft "reactive bow" as found in rubber rafts, includes spongy foam as in pool toys for kids.

This is off the top of my head, if there is a book-source or something you were taught in school, please post and share. I just made this list up to be a starting point.

NOT: Hovercraft and SES skirts may fall into any of the above, thinking they are mostly "F" Compliant though.
