Hello to all members in this net.
Im a new member from Greece and i was trying to find the topic to indroduce my self but i couldnt find it.
so,i have a question, was is your opinion about mitsubishi diesel engines and specific, diesel engines from small trucks like fuso or canter.

here mitsubishi marine engines are soooo expensive and cause i own a hand made plywood boat 6mt long, and im thinking of mitsubishi engines to fit.
there are several engines from canter and with very low cost,i can find 4cyl or 6cyl . Offcourse,im talking about diesel engines desinged at 90's,so it with mechanical fuel pump, turbo and intercooler.
Im not talking about diesel with ECU or common rail types...

do we have a member who is cruising with a mitsubishi engine(not marine)

    thanks in advance!
    George

    Welcome to the forum George!

I think Mitsubishi diesels are a good choice, they have an excellent reputation. But can you get the parts to build a marine engine, especially the exhaust manifold?

    thanks for your replay.! ;)

i will check out this forum.

As about mits.engines,i really believe that they are very good engines and offcourse very strong and realiable! i think that engine manifold its not easy to fix it but we have some garages who they can do it for you.

I just want to know if someone on this forum has done this conversion and maybe some photos or impressions...

    thanks in advance...

I have a 37hp Mitsu engine converted by Klassen in western Canada.

They have extremely nice steel exhaust manifolds.
