    There still a lot of WW2 lost mines with ropes. And still many countries use similar to protect their shores.
    As for planes, there are no too many planes that could spot the GRP made ship on radar and no missiles for that small one.

    A little research on wikkipedia turns up that modern armerment on the USN Svenger class minesweaper is nothing more than two .50 caliber machine guns... I think you are over arming your battleship/sweaper.
