Metacentric height is always 24/12, or so.

    Hannu's designs are well thought out. Since he goes to a great deal of trouble to make the build as simple as possible, I would build it the way he shows. Please note that the design does not accommodate an outboard, so definitely beef up the transom and go easy on the power. Good luck and safe boating.
