    I just want to let it be known that here in malaysia they seem to be celebrating christmas. Malaysia is mostly Islam with a few indian religions, I know of no Christians.

    In the local supermarket yesterday were Christmas trees, trimmings, lttle snow flakes and other decorations. On the sound system played chrismas carols and the check out girl wished me a merry Christmas.

    3 giggling muslim girls from the marina office went around yesterday handing out Christmas cards to the yachties wishing all a merry Christmas.

    This in comparison with the muslim community of my home country where people of Islamic faith have been know to kick over christmas trees in town shopping centres.

    During the month of Islamic Ramadan , all religions join in and feast at the fabulous food available at the night markets. I am delighted when they smile and encourage me .

    Such racial and religious harmony shown in Malaysia can only be dreamed of in the rest of the world.
