Is this skiff too pricy?

    16ft V hull skiff 1/8 thick aluminium plate, all welded, bouyancy chambers etc.

    Basic cost for boat only is $6500. Is this too much? Bearing in mind very heavy material and one is 'supposed' to get what one pays for.

    Opinions appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Sounds dirt cheap, what is the catch ? And actually 1/8" is not really heavy material.

    Stringer-less construction ? I would be dubious about it's long term prospects exposed to slamming loads. Maybe there are some strakes under it to stiffen it ?

    Mainly tack welded up to this stage. Final welding to be done. What do you think?
