Propeller shaft is 1 1/4 inch stainless and 9 feet long.
Do I need intermediate bearing and if yes, what kind of installation do exist?
    thanks

Yes definately . You cannot shaft 9 feet with anything sensible without a centre bearing.

For 1.5 inch you will find one middle bearing will suffice to stop the shaft whipping.

Use a self aligning bearing and block. A pressed on shoulder with an interference fit to the bearing is best. Sealed roller or ball. Talk to your local bearing suppliers eg SKF .

Front wheel drive vehicles have a similar bearing on the longer axle before the first cv joint, have a look at one of those for impementation ideas.

    Hope this helps
