    Hi,
The factory specification concerning the WOT of my Suzuki DF115A is ranged 5000-6000 rpm (beyond 6000 rpm the rev. limiter is automatically triggered).

Does this mean I can safely choose any propellor pitch size as long as WOT remains in-between these rpm's, even WOT at 5000 rpm ??

    THANKS,
    V.

As gonzo said, yes, but remember that as you increase pitch you also increase torque, all else being equal. So you will also need to ensure that the engine will support the required torque for the new pitch.

    Thanks!
I'm considering doing a long-distance trip with my deep-V hull boat at hull speed.
I'm figuring that a prop at max pitch size will reduce rpm at this speed, increase mileage, and give less engine noise.
Getting into -occasional- planing will take longer I expect.
