    Hello,
I'm doing some research about materials and building technologies for molds that are used in carbon fiber boat building with post curing at 70°C.
Does anybody have experience in this field that is willing to share knowledge?
    Thank you!

Most normal tooling products will take 70C without much of a problem.

I don't know diddly about it, but I would make one assumption. That would be to make sure all the coefficients of thermal expansion are not wild swings for anything staying in process.

If nothing else, someone might tell me I am wrong.

Can you use foam for heated forms? Or does the gas in the foam expand at that temperature and deform the mold?

I looked up glass transition temperature, is that when materials properly get soft?
Glass transition temperature is 90°C for polystyrene / XPS and 82 °C for PVC.

There is no specific HDT or TG for a polyester, VE or epoxy resin system, it’s the same for foams and other types of core.

Each product has its own set of specs depending on its intended purpose.

70c is at the very low end of what even the simplest and cheapest tooling products can handle.
