General Newb questions

Im getting a 31 ft 1980 Searay SRV Sedan bridge.
All the rear deck flooring is off.
The stringers look good and solid. But i want to work up,
What are a few things (while the inside/outside deck is off) too do, too improve the stringers, Coating ect ect. I figure if im already there
ill go ahead and make everything 100%. Suggestions on what to use
to recoat that whole area below decks.

Next i want to replace all the deck support wood.(only the back deck. What is the best wood to use for this? How should i coat it for a long life?

Last i want to install the deck wood it self. I heard of a product that has ply with foam center? Its called something like coose board or simular? whats your thoughts on using this for the back deck?

heres where you start

toss everything out, including the crapper. then clean and grind away all of the dirt. then the fun begins. photograph and label every piece as a template for later.

 

My recommendation is to cover all new wood below decks with fiberglass resin. This would eliminate moisture entering wood later in life.

Support wood, if exposed to moisture, either above or below decks should be coated. The above method works, or paint.

I never heard of the decking wood you mentioned. If you are going to leave the wood showing, I would use teak. If not, use marine plywood and cover with fiberglass resin.

Should i go ahead and recoat everything from front to back incl stringers ect?
Even if coated? I have no back deck so its easy to get at now.
Any suggestions on the Good epoxy would be great, also with a light sand
can i recoat the epoxy thats already there? Thanks again
