material for fuel tank (gasoline)

    hi everybody

    what would be the best material fuel tank for 25' fiberglass boat( outboard engine)?

    would it be aluminuim,fiberglass, polythelene

    They are all good. they all have advantages and disadvantages.

    If you are planning to build your own tank they have a section what what is needed and what materials are needed.

    The modern plastic tank will have the longest life. If your building it in remember to box it oversized as the plastic tank will stretch about 1% or 2% on its first filling.

    Let the tank sit full and foam the space left in the box , and your set "forever".
