    Hi,

I have an automotive fiberglass problem I need help with, I realize this is a boat forum but the problem I'm facing is pretty neutral and I hope some of you might know of a solution that will help me.
I accidentially slipped a bit when drilling the last hole on a car spoiler to install the mounting hardware. This ended up causing just a tad of the edge/lip to get shaved off. This is causing a problem for a rubber expansion nut which is used in the hole to affix it to the trunk of the car as the rubber piece slips/pushes out.
How can I repair the hole in such a way that I can redrill it properly? I can't work from behind the fiberglass really only from the surface inward. I did attempt to use fiberglass weave with resin, and later on with epoxy but both seemed to crack right off the piece when under pressure from the expansion nut. It's like it didn't affix to the fiberglass at all....any suggestions?

Many thanks in advance! I hope you don't mind! :(

I use a product called duraglas with a cream hardener ,,also has hair in it ,,pack the hole and sand it smooth, and redrill,,cost about 20 bucks for 1/2 lb can,,,,better than bondo.
