Mast loads for freestanding masts

Motivated by advice from other members on this thread, I'm digging into the principles behind composites design. The goal is to be able to design a composite mast, freestanding or stayed, with a solid understanding of engineering principles. Figured I might as well start with constituent materials, so I've started a thread Composite Calculations Worksheet.
