Minisailing boats

    Some days ago i see a photograph of a new boat called minisailing (I think it's a french boat). It's a boat I like a lot and I would like to know more information about it: price, How to buy it, boatbuilder ...

    Mini 60?

    Interesting! Looks like a small Open 60 type and /or a smaller version of a Johnson 18? Where did you see the picture?
    I'd like to know more about it too...

    Yes the text say it is exactly a scale version of a Open 60.

    You may have; the pix of the close up of the guy sitting in the boat is vaguely familiar. But I'm fairly sure I haven't seen any specs. Tried going to the listed website but couldn't get thru...

    Sounds like a 2.4 meter. Looks nice though, I have tried out a 2.4 but those look like just as much fun.

    Hmmm they drag the transom a bit...imagine a masthead kite on one...they got the bowsprit already! The truck and trailer set up to transport them, with crane, is pretty cool....some clever thinking there. Like it!

    Does anyone remember the mini 12 meters? There were a bunch years ago in Newport Beach, CA. Such boats could be perfect for real competition in light air and protected waters, small lakes, ponds, etc. -- great alternatives to Sabots or Optimists -- especially for older sailors who may have trouble switching sides while tacking. I'd love to see a mini-sailor designed more purposely for its sailing qualities than scale-model cuteness.

    By mini 12's i think you mean the international 2.4 meter class.

    sailed in the paralympics, verry popular class around the world.

    I didn't realize they had become so popular!

    Actually I think the mini-12s I'm referring to were a one design class. They might have been within a meter rule though.

    mini 12's are generally two types of 2.4 metres. So they are one designs in the fact that they are identical 2.4 metre boats.
