    Virginia based Marine & Naval Ship Design and Engineering Company has an urgent need to hire Naval and Ship Design Engineers and Ship Design Support Personnel (see position descriptions below) Positions are located in DC and NYC

    Naval Ship Design / Architect – Principal ($90K) DC, NYC
    Works independently or on project teams Able to lead or manage small naval architecture projects Able to manage cost, schedule and technical product development Able to supervise staff on projects or teams Performs quality assurance reviews of complex analyses, calculations and drawings developed by junior and mid-level staff Interacts with clients at a peer level

    Master’s Degree in Naval Architecture or equivalent education Professional Engineering Certification (in Naval Architecture or other applicable discipline)
    with 12 years of professional engineering experience or 15 years experience (without Certification) in naval ship design required

    Proficiency in using industry-standard naval architecture software tools

    Naval Architects - MS or higher in Naval Architecture or Marine, Ocean or Aerospace Engineering. At least 2 years experience in early-phase total ship design, stability, and seakeeping analysis. Familiarity naval architectural software such as FASTSHIP, SMP, GHS, and ASSET, as well as military and commercial design standards highly desirable.

    Compensation may be higher than listed. Compensation varies according to location and qualifications of candidate
