I just purchased a 1985 baja islander. Does anyone know if they make good boats? seaworthy? mine is older but in really good shape. I looked at about 20 boats before my purchase and they were all newer and either needed a floor or a transom. This boat had the floor and new interior done last year seems it was done right. any info would be great.. Btw its a baja islander 220 with a 260 merc

Welcome to the baja club bajaboy! Bajas are good solid boats. With the most common engine on the water yours should be easy to maintain and hope you have a lot of fun in it. Is your islander a bowrider?
