I would also like some info on the Fan Craft. I would like to build a ducted fan flat bottom boat for fishing. The air boats are too noisey.

My first experience of ducted fans was at an airshow some 20+ years ago. There was a plane with a ducted fan and the pilot sat in front of the fan in an observation bubble like a helicopter - and yes it was amazingly quiet;-

A ducted fan version of an airboat would still make a hell of a racket, even if a bit less so than a conventional fixed pitch boat. Moving up to a variable pitch prop will help quite a bit, especially around the docks.
