Live at Lake Norman, NC and am part of beginning wooden boat building group. Want to find plans for an Irish boat know as a Galway Hooker.

A better bet might be to try a posting on the forum at Classic Boat

Hello, did you ever find plans? Are you building? I have just gotten interested in Galway hookers.

The project never happened. We had a boat building class and a local pub called the Gallway Hooker. We were attempting to get the pub to contribute to funding but they weren't interested. Subsequently the class folded. Sorry can't be more helpful. Good Luck.

never was any plans for the hookers, they were built by eye, they would dig two holes and then place posts in them this was the lenght of the keel, simple boats

Just designed this one on computer! All parts are templated apart from the planking. Can send Autocad drawings that can be printed of full size onto film if required.

Had a 'search' on the internet and no luck! Would be interested in seeing something about it.
