Hello everyone. I finished my aluminum shallow water boat. It has two engines of 50 hp Fiat, two Castoldi jet. Weighs 550 kg and the keel with three 10° degrees.
    7,1 meters x 2,10 meters.

I put it in water after it is made unsinkable. Something about closed-cell polyurethane? There are other materials?
    TY

    Use polyethylene, not polyurethane.

    Show us some picture, please!

    Congratulazioni!

Thanks for the reply hoy! Still lacks double bottom and double walls to inject the foam. For this reason I took photos to post. polyethylene such as polyurethane can be injected? Do you have the brand name of some product?

    HI!!
Someone can remind me a suitable material to protect the keel of a shallow water boat from the rocks?
To make a boat unsinkable Hoy advised me, correctly, the polyethylene. With gasoline and with time what should I expect from polyethiylene?
I need some producers adress who sells it as a foam injection...
    TY all

Polyethylene does not react with gasoline. Gas tanks are made from polyethylene.

The boat has a keel in 3 parts, V 10°...a flat trimaran 2,10*7,1 meters.
    Jet are Castoldi 03.
Boat can have 2 or 1 jet.
Is something never seen....I hope in a miracle!;-)

I know I sound hopeless. In Italy no one sells polyethylene bicomponent or spray. If you give me some U.S. supplier, I buy them from you and then import them. Thanks HOY, thanks to all.

This afternoon (here is 23:25) I called the Italian branch:

    http://www.sealedairspecialtymaterials.com/ContactUs_Local.aspx

These said that the spray does not exist, and PE is just in panels!!

Tomorrow I call and I check if they have also regular employees or just idiots.

In your experience, Hoy, products exist in spray or bi-component?

I've never seen a spray of this plastic. It is usually cut to fit and inserted.

Becouse of shape of the boat, will be almost impossible to model PE plates.

I think I will use plastic bottles and balls.
    You were very kind.
Once finished, I put pictures and a movie.
    Thanks
    Gian

    PS

Our press tell us that all american people are very happy for Amanda and italian courts are very appreciated.

    Is it true, Hoy?

Not so. I have seen articles on the internet that are mostly favorable to Amanda Knox, but a few are not. I am a believer that she is innocent but I have spoken to some here in Seattle that believe she did it, so I would have to say not all Americans are happy with her release.

On another subject. I am creating a page for my web site listing boatbuilding web sites not in English, outside the US and Canada. I already have a few for French and Spanish. Can you suggest some for Italian?

    The page is at http://newboatbuilders.com/pages/links-nonenglish.html
