You will be better off to go directly to a NA. Paying someone who is not experienced in boat design to produce CAD files may give the NA a headache. It may even cost you more, because they will have to redo them. A rough sketch on paper is enough for preliminary work. The most important thing to do is a thorough SOR.

Definitely sketches. and a few 3d renderings as well as perhaps an animation of the moving parts could be helpful at the conceptual stage if only to point out obvious flaws or conflicts with the SOR. They at the very least would give the NA a clear idea of what you want him or her to achieve. I am in Thailand right now but will be staying on my boat at Toronto Island marina for the summer and would be happy to help you with renderings and animations of your concept. I will do it for nothing, or I should say for fun, as long as I remain interested.

Hello Timothy, Sunny Thailand, Very Nice, I Was There A Few Times Myself, Lovely Place, Lovely People.

I Found A Great Guy , [otto], To Do The Basic Cad Concept Design And Will Be Posting It Here Very Soon To Get Some Honest Criticism And Feed Back.

Just Pondering Over The Propulsion At The Moment, Steyr Hybrid, Lts Electric Or Northern Lights Hybrid, All Seem Worthy Of Consideration.

Thanks For Taking The Time To Respond
Be Nice To Chat On Your Return As I Am In Toronto Also

Statement Of Requirements. It is a list of all the things that your boat must accomplish or include. Secondarily, your list can include all things that would be desirable in order of priority.
