SA/D for multihulls

    Not sure if this is the right place for this question, but it is about multihulls so here goes. If you were trying to determine the Sail area displacement ratio for a trimaran, would you use the total displacement of all three hulls combined, or just say, the main hull?

    Total Displacement. See the pdf below by Eric Sponberg-- he is a member here and could probably help you further.....
    See p 37 for "Bruce Number" which is sort of an SA/D number specifically for multihulls.
